How to Play Odd One Out Online
Odd One Out is an imposter word game for 3–10 players. Everyone gets the same secret word except one player, the Odd One Out. Each player gives one short clue, the table discusses for 30 seconds, then everyone votes. A caught Odd One Out gets one guess at the word. Points carry over across rounds.

Controls
- Type a clue of 1–3 words and press Give clue
- Discuss in the room chat, then tap Ready to vote
- Tap Vote next to the player you suspect
- If you are caught, type your guess at the word

Step by step
- 01
See your card
Everyone sees the secret word and the category, except the Odd One Out, whose card says they are the odd one out. With the Decoy rule on, the Odd One Out sees a similar word instead and isn’t told.

Give one clue
In turn order, each player types one clue of up to three words. You can’t use the word itself or repeat a clue. The Odd One Out never goes first.

Discuss
You get 30 seconds to talk it over in the room chat. Voting opens early once everyone taps Ready.

Vote
Everyone votes at once. The player with the most votes is accused; a tie means nobody is.
- 05
Last chance
If the accused player is the Odd One Out, they get one guess at the secret word.

Score
Odd One Out escapes (or the vote ties): +3 to them. Caught and guessed the word: +2 to them and +1 to each correct voter. Caught and missed: +1 to everyone else and +1 more to correct voters.

Pro tips
- Give a clue that only makes sense if you know the word, but fits more than one word in the category.
- Build on earlier clues when you’re late in the order.
- As the Odd One Out, listen first and give a clue that fits everything said so far.
- Watch for safe-but-empty clues like “tasty” or “popular”.

Can I play Odd One Out on one phone?
No. The secret word has to stay private, so every player needs their own device. To practise alone, play vs Computer.
Which word packs are there?
Food, Places, Pakistan, Cricket and Movies, 20 words each, plus a Mixed pack with all 100.
