GUIDE #304
How to Play Colour Pile Online
Colour Pile is a card game like UNO for 2–6 players, with an original 108-card deck. Match the pile by colour, number or symbol, use Skip, Reverse, +2 and Wild cards, and call “Last card!” before your final card. The first player to empty their hand scores everyone else’s cards.
01 // CONTROLS
Controls
- Tap a glowing card to play it
- A Wild opens a colour picker
- Tap the draw pile or Draw a card, then play the drawn card or Pass
- Tap Last card! when you are about to go down to one card; tap Catch when someone else forgets
- A turn timer runs (30 s by default). On timeout a move is made for you
02 // STEPS
Step by step
- 01
Deal
Everyone gets 7 cards and one card starts the pile. A Wild is never the starting card. If the start card is a Skip, Reverse or +2, it applies to the first player.
- 02
Match colour, number or symbol
Play one card that matches the top card, for example a green 7 on a green 2, or a red 7 on a green 7. A Wild goes on anything and you choose the next colour.
- 03
Action cards
Skip makes the next player miss a turn. Reverse changes direction (with 2 players it works like Skip). +2 makes the next player draw 2 and miss a turn. Wild +4 does the same with 4 cards, and you may only play it when you have no card of the current colour.
- 04
Draw if stuck
If you can’t or don’t want to play, draw one card. Play it if it fits, otherwise pass.
- 05
Last card!
Tap Last card! before you play your second-to-last card (or right after). If you are left on one card without calling, any player can catch you and you draw 2. Nobody catches you? You still draw 2 at the next move.
- 06
Score the round
The player who goes out scores the cards left in everyone else’s hands: numbers at face value, Skip/Reverse/+2 20 each, Wilds 50. Play to 100, 250, 500 or a single round.

Pro tips
- Keep a Wild for the moment you are stuck. It costs 50 if someone else goes out first.
- Play high numbers and action cards early when an opponent is down to two cards.
- Switch the colour to one the next player just drew on.
- Always call Last card! — and watch the card counts to catch those who don’t.
