A real pool table in your browser: aim with a guide line and ghost ball, pull the cue back for power, add spin, clear your group and sink the 8.

8 Ball Pool on My MP Games is a proper top-down 9-foot table with six pockets and fifteen numbered balls: solids 1 to 7, stripes 9 to 15 and the black 8. Balls roll with cloth friction, bounce off the cushions and collide with real momentum, and the cue ball carries spin — high for follow, low to draw back, or side to change the angle off a cushion. Drag on the table to aim: a guide line and ghost ball show where the cue ball meets the object ball and where that ball will go. Fine-tune with the dial, then pull the cue back (further for more power) and let go. The rules are standard 8-ball. Break from behind the head string; a legal break pots a ball or drives at least four balls to a cushion. The table is open after the break: the first ball you pot legally decides your group, solids or stripes. Keep shooting while you pot your own balls. A foul — scratching the cue ball into a pocket, hitting the wrong ball first, missing everything, or no ball reaching a cushion after contact — gives your opponent ball in hand anywhere on the table. When your group is cleared, pot the 8 to win; pot the 8 early, or scratch while potting it, and you lose the rack. Play vs Computer (Easy, Medium or Hard — it aims with the same physics), Local vs on one device, or online with a room code. Every online shot is simulated on the server and every screen replays the same numbers, so both players and spectators see the identical result.

How to play 8 Ball Pool in the browser

Drag anywhere on the table to aim: the cue points at your finger, and a guide line with a ghost ball shows where the cue ball meets the object ball and which way that ball will go. Use the fine-aim dial (or ⟲ ⟳) for small corrections and tap the small cue ball for follow, draw or side spin. Then pull the cue back: the further you pull, the harder you hit. Let go to strike, or slide back to zero to cancel. Prefer to judge angles yourself? Set Guide lines: Off in the game options before you start to hide the ghost ball and the ball paths. Online, the host picks it for everyone, and it stays fixed for the game.

Rules

Break from behind the head string. A legal break pots a ball or drives at least four balls to a cushion. The table is open after the break, and the first ball you pot legally gives you that group: solids (1–7) or stripes (9–15). Keep shooting while you pot your own balls. Scratching, missing everything, hitting the wrong ball first, or no ball reaching a cushion after contact is a foul and gives your opponent ball in hand anywhere. Once your group is cleared, pot the 8 to win. Pot the 8 early, or scratch while potting it, and you lose.

Fair online play

Every shot is simulated on the server with deterministic physics; your browser replays the same numbers, so both players and spectators see exactly the same roll, spin and pot.
