Open the play page
Go to the quiz play page. It is free in the browser, with no download and no account.

Pick a category and level
Open Game options to choose Nintendo, Retro & Arcade, Modern Games, Consoles & Makers or all categories, then Easy, Medium, Hard or Mixed.

Choose an opponent
Play vs Computer for instant practice, Local vs to share one device, or Create room and send a friend the room code.

Answer each question
Both players get the same question and four answers. Your pick turns green if right or red if wrong, and the correct answer is shown.

Read the fact
A one-line explanation appears after every question, such as who created the series or the year it launched.
- 06
Win the round
Every correct answer scores a point, even if both players get it. First to 6 points wins, or the higher score after 10 questions.

Pro tips
- Release years cluster by console: NES in the mid-80s, SNES and Mega Drive in the early 90s, PlayStation in the mid-90s.
- Creator questions often point to Shigeru Miyamoto (Mario, Zelda, Donkey Kong) or Hideo Kojima (Metal Gear).
- Speed does not score extra. Read all four answers before you tap.
- Use the Retro & Arcade category on Easy to warm up, then move to Hard for studio and console history.
