Roadster Runner is a free car jumping game in the style of the dino runner game. A red electric roadster races along a desert road that keeps getting faster, while strange things appear in its way: traffic cones, potholes, cows, low rockets, birds and even UFOs. Tap to jump on a gas jet that fires from beneath the car, duck under things that fly, and reach the finish line. It is a dino runner game multiplayer version you can play online with up to 6 friends, against the computer, or by passing one phone around. It runs in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer, with nothing to download and no sign-up.

How to Play Roadster Runner

The car drives forward by itself. It starts fairly slow and speeds up the further you go. The bar at the top of the screen shows the distance to the finish line and where the other cars are.

Jump

Tap to jump. A gas jet blasts down from under the car and kicks up a puff of dust. Hold the tap for a higher, longer jump, and let go early for a short hop.

Duck

Swipe down, press ↓ or S, or hold the Duck button on a touch screen. The car drops low, which takes you under birds and UFOs. Duck in mid-air to come down faster.

What is on the road

  • Cones and potholes: a short hop clears them.
  • Cone pairs and cows: wider or taller, so hold for a bigger jump.
  • Rockets: they fly low across the road. Jump them; ducking is not low enough.
  • Birds and UFOs: they hover above the road. Duck under them.

Hit anything and your run ends where you crashed. Energy cells along the road are a bonus.

Winning a race

Everyone drives the same road with the same obstacles in the same places. If you reach the finish line and your rival crashes, you win. If nobody finishes, the car that went furthest wins. If two cars finish, the one with more energy cells wins.

Game Modes: Online, vs Computer and Local

Race friends online (room code)

Press Create room and send the invite link or room code. You approve each friend who asks to join. Up to 6 players start together on the same road, and you see the other cars as ghosts driving beside you. The server checks every run against the course before it counts. You can chat in the room the whole time.

Play vs Computer

Press Play vs Computer to race a computer car on the same road. Pick easy, medium or hard. The computer only sees what is on screen, needs time to react, and can misjudge a jump, just like a person.

Local vs on one device

Press Local vs, type 2 to 6 names and take turns on one device. Everyone drives the same road one after another, and the scoreboard shows how far each player got.

Controls for Keyboard and Touch

  • Phone or tablet: tap to jump, hold to jump higher; swipe down or hold Duck to duck. It works in portrait and landscape without scrolling.
  • Computer: Space, ↑ or W (or a click) to jump; ↓ or S to duck.
  • Sound: calm, quiet sound effects that follow the site's volume button.

Tips to Go Further in Roadster Runner

  • Jump earlier as you speed up. At the end of the road, things arrive much faster.
  • Match the jump to the obstacle. A tap for cones and potholes, a hold for cows and cone pairs.
  • Don't duck under rockets. They fly too low, so jump them.
  • Use the fast drop. Duck in the air to land sooner when something follows close behind.
  • Read the road. Every player gets the same road in a race, so watch what is coming instead of reacting late.

A Chrome Dino Style Game With a Car

If you like the offline dinosaur game in Chrome, Roadster Runner uses the same jump-and-duck idea with a car, a real finish line and races against other people. It is an original game and is not affiliated with Google or any car maker.
